I just updated Videosync and now it doesn’t show any image, all black!
I needed this for today, for a very important rehearsal!

Hi Ricardo, sorry to hear that! What version of Videosync were you using before?

Would it be possible for you to share your Live Set with me? I honestly can’t think of a reason why updating would result in no output, so I’m led to believe it being a routing issue.

I have same issue after I have updated to new version few days ago. It was working with without any problem with older version. I know the file I am using is large but it was working flawlessly with older version. Can I revert to older version.

BTW , I have tried to play non wrapped file with Ableton and it is working fine. As soon as I add wrap markers the video keeps freezing. The file is 2GB if that causes the issue. Let me know!

Hey Bob, welcome to the forum! Could you please let me know:

  • What version of Videosync were you using before?
  • Are you on macOS or Windows?
  • Does the video you’re warping stutter, or is Videosync application freezing? You could test this by forexample using a device like Voronoi or Lava, just to see if it performs as expected compared to the video you’re playing.

I don’t remember the version but bought Oct 2025, I am using windows and the video shows but shutter and jittery.

Hey Bob, some more questions:

  1. With “the video shows” are you referring to a video clip on an audio track? Or to a video in Video Simpler?
  2. If you place a Voronoi on another track and set the Move parameter value to 1, is the animation smooth compared to the video playback?
  3. If you open Videosync’s Console window (CTRL + K), what is the FPS that’s shown?
  4. In the Settings window, under Render Settings on the Video tab, what is the Target FPS set to?
  5. What is the refresh rate of the monitor? And what is the refresh rate set to in Windows’ Display Settings?
  6. Is the playback stuttery with one particular video file? Or with any video? Is it the same video file as you were using in October, or not?
  7. What is the codec, resolution, duration and file size of the video?

What is Voronoi? where to find it? Also I am adding video clips to audio track. I Have almost 30 video files. All of them are more than 1.5GB size. the resolution are 1920X1080 with variable frame rates from 24 to 60. All of them are mp4 files. Refresh rate i have changed to 60fps.

Voronoi is an effect that can be found in User Library/Videosync/2.1 Devices/Effects.

Would you say all of those clips are stuttering when played back?

Meanwhile I have been able to reproduce the described issue of stuttering video clip playback on Windows and have reverted the 2.1.7 and 2.1.8 releases. You can download Videosync 2.1.6 from our website, here.

I will report back here with any further updates or when a fix is in place.

Here is what I have noticed. When I have included video file less than 4 mins, it works without warping in session mode. As soon as I warp the file it starts freezing.

Also If i Downgrade it I have to uninstall new version and i will loose license key. How do I retrieve that?

You can find your license key in the email that was sent to you after purchasing your license. If you no longer have access to this email, we can look up your license if you can tell us to which email address it is attached.
