Hi Reinhard, thanks for sharing your profile! The 5- and 10-channel modes are relatively easy to make as in these cases the fixture behaves as a flat fixture. The 29- and 31-channel modes contain cells, which always make it a bit trickier to get the profile right, as well as how to control the fixture and its separate segments from Live.

I made a new profile that contains all four modes:

Please take a moment to load the profile in the Fixture Editor so you can see which modulations are controlled by which layer (the main fixture, a cell, or a subcell).

I’ve also made a simple example of a Live Set and Beam Patch that uses the 31-channel mode:

Notice how the different modulations for the different layers are controlled:

  • “Main” track:
    • Has Intensity set to 1.
  • “RGB Segments” track:
    • You can set the color for the segments using the color picker.
    • Use MIDI notes to trigger each RGB segment separately, following the intensity envelope.
  • “Strobe Main” track:
    • Supports program, programspeed and shutterstrobe modulations.
  • “Strobe Segments” track:
    • Use MIDI notes to trigger each strobe segment separately, following the intensity envelope.

Hy! Have tried to load the beam fixture file there is an error message and i cant load it sadly!

Hey Reinhard, what’s the error that you’re seeing? And what version of Beam are you using?

there was an "cannot open " error..

i have created a new fixture mapping and now it works..I use the version 2.1!

Yes sometimes its tricky to understand a fixture a there function ( cells, subcells, etc.) but im hope im on a good way to learn this kind of stuff! Thank you!!
