Just sayin. Show buddy sucks. I purchased both programs at the same time. #1 show sync literally helped me within the first few days get everything up and running and spend time to teach me how it works. Show buddy has still yet to respond.
Maybe show buddy is a little more intuitive with the presets and drag and drop onto backing track feature. But for an abelton user there is no comparison to having the lights integrated into the workflow and timeline. Even just looping sections so I can jam or extend portions of a song are incredibly valuable.
Like I said, I hope this article finds the person who is trying to make a decision on which program to buy. I bought two different interfaces, show buddy and sound sync trying to get my light show up and running so total I spent about $750-$800 And showsync is what I’m gonna continue using. Wish show buddy would return my money but I guess I could give it to someone.
