Problems with Syncing Videos? Any Advice or Tricks?

Hey everyone,

I have been working with ShowSync to sync my videos but I am facing issues. The syncing process does not seem as smooth as I expected. The lip-sync is off by just a little bit and other times, it is such as the video completely loses sync with the audio.

Also i have tried adjusting the timing but it does not always seem to work as expected. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, do you have any tips or tricks that worked for you? I want to know if there are any settings I might be missing or maybe I just need to update something.

Also, I am learning Python from scratch to help with automating some video tasks, so if anyone has any advice on integrating Python for better sync management that would be awesome.

Hi there! I have a few questions that will help to get a better understanding of your situation:

  • Are you on Windows or macOS?
  • What version of Live are you using?
  • Are you using Session View or Arrangement View to play back these clips?
  • Are you automating the Song Tempo throughout your Live Set?
  • Is Warp enabled or disabled for these clips?
  • Are you using any audio plug-ins that are creating latency? You can check this by hovering over the title bar of a plug-in. The latency it creates is revealed in the Status Bar at the bottom of the screen.
