For now all fixtures of the same type are in a group so there are 3 groups, Movers, Lasers and Battens
I have loaded a generic fixture for each fixture type on a separate midi channel. However, the parameter drop down menu for each group shows the same opetions:
Should it not be the case that for the lasers for example, the parameter drop down menu shows only the 11 parameters that can be controlled by that fixture profile, with the correct names of each parameter?
Another issue possibly related is that only some of the Chauvet Intimidator parameters are functioning correctly (visualised in capture). Colour controls affect brightness only, white is always shown. Zoom has no effect.
The modulation menus of all the Beam devices indeed show all the available modulations of fixtures in your fixture patch. That’s because a tag can contain a mixture of different fixtures, with different modulation parameters, and Beam Effects can be placed on different parts of a lighting signal chain, including after an Instrument Rack or onto a Group, which means processing modulation parameters of multiple different tags.
Adapting the modulation menus to only show the parameters of the relevant fixtures (based on the selected tag or where in the signal chain a device is placed) would be a welcome UX improvement, and is something we’ve already considered, so thanks for sharing your feedback on this.
Same goes for being able to preview the available modulations of a given fixture within the Fixture Patch editor.
