No External in devices

Hi,

There are no devices under the External In plugin.
Ableton Live 11.1 ARM. Videosync is connected.

Thanks for sharing your issue here. A few questions:

  • What Mac are you using, and does it have a built-in webcam?
  • What device are you trying to connect to Videosync?
  • Does that device show up as an option in other applications? For example Quicktime?

Hello Jean-Paul I tried without success with a Blackmagic UltraStudio recorder 3G on a Mac M1 Live11, but the only seen and possible device was FaceTime . My Blackmagic analog to digital acquisition chain is based on analog to digital converter > updowncross 720 to 1080 then ultrastudio > Videosync. To success i created a rudimentary Max patch to receive a syphon flow. But how to get directly Ultrastudio in devices options. Thank you

Have you tried Black Syphon? You should be able to capture via that and then send the Syphon feed to VS: Black Syphon: Free Syphon to Blackmagic Utility — VDMX - MAC VJ SOFTWARE
