Mega Par Profile Reset

Hello people!

I recently purchased a number of DMX units from a local church; half Venture and half ADJ fixtures. I’ve daisy chained them together with a Mega Par Profile unit at the end and terminated the DMX cable (all 3-pins)

I set the first Mega Par Profile to DMX Address 10, then 2nd to 20, and so on till I got to the last fixture, a 2nd Mega Par Profile, I set that Address to 110. When I finished the Address window was flashing, so I tried to find the ‘SET’ or ‘ENTER’ button to indicate I was finished with my task… so I hit…something, don’t remember what…but then ALL 11 LIGHTS WENT CRAZY!! :slight_smile:

I googled ‘how to reset this light’ and it answered like this below:

To reset an ADJ Mega Par Profile to factory settings,

navigate the rear LED menu to the “OTHER MODE” or setup section and select “dEFA”(Defaults) to initialize the unit

Well, I cannot find the “OTHER MODE” mode. What I see as modes are:A110(DMX), r000,So-1,AJ-3,CL-5,don

I happened upon the ‘dEFA’ by accident by hitting something under SETUP that displayed the dEFA but I have NO idea how to SET that to make the other lights behave!

I downloaded a manual from B&H for the Mega Par Profile System but that gave me the MODE settings as;

Sound-Active, Built-In Program, Auto Mode, Static Color Mode, RGB Dimmer Mode, & DMX control mode

Which does not match the ones I see on my unit.

Please tell me the secret how to push the right buttons in the right order to calm these little babies down. :slight_smile:

Thank you.

Hi, thanks for reaching out! This forum is specifically for support related to our software (Beam for Live and Beam for Max) and for help with creating fixture profiles for it, so hardware questions like this are a bit beyond what we cover.

For resetting your ADJ Mega Par Profile, your best bet would be to contact ADJ directly via their support page at adj.com/pages/support (support@adj.com), or post on the ADJ user forum at forums.adj.com where people with hands-on experience with these fixtures are likely to help.

Good luck getting them sorted!

hey @geomauro, did you figure smth out? what happens if you connect just a single fixture? or are they now all bricked? :brick: :face_with_spiral_eyes:
