Luma output as modulation source?

Hello - is it possible to use the luma (or chroma) output of VS as a modulation source to control other devices? Thanks.

This is currently not possible yet, but a device like this is on the wishlist.

tip - i have been using the Camera device from the Ableton Connection Kit, routing Videosync output back into Ableton via the OBS Virtual Camera. It gives some crunchy trackable Luma-oriented data, but It’s unstable, and not very precise

@ridge wow, very clever idea! I don’t seem to be able to get the Camera device to recognize the OBS Virtual Camera…do you remember if there was anything special you had to do with that?

this may sound obvious (sorry) but have you actually hit the “Start Virtual Camera” button in OBS? It won’t see OBS until you do that, cos that’s the part that talks to the Camera app…

Thanks and no worries! I’d tried that yesterday with no luck, but then tried again today and it inexplicably worked
