Hi here,
I’m having a framerate drop issue.
I have 3 drum racks that contain only video samplers. My desired output resolution is 4K 30fps.
The first rack contains 11 video samplers, each with a single static image. The average resolution of these images is 1200x900 and they’re in PNG format. A sequence of MIDI notes triggers the display of each image from each video sampler at 1/16T for 120 bpm. I get 60 fps without any problems.
The second rack, which follows the first, contains 26 video samplers, each with one image of the same resolution as above, triggered at 1/16T. Here, my framerate drops to 22 fps.
Finally, the third rack, which follows the second, contains 91 video samplers, each with one image of the same resolution as above, triggered at 1/16T. My framerate drops to 14 fps.
What are the possible solutions to improve the framerate, at least 30 fps ?
Why the number of video samplers drops the fps as only one is playing at a time ? (I tried to mute them by assigning the same choke number but it didn’t increase fps)
My configuration : Macbook pro M2 pro, 32 Go RAM, all images saved on local ssd.
