Is it possible to load videos directly from folders into videosync instead of loading individual clips into session view? I’m working on an audiovisual performance that uses hundreds of clips that will be triggered individually through midi, but im trying to find a way that would work through videosync and ableton without crashing the whole system,
any guidance or tips is appreciated !

Hey Anthony, welcome to the forum.
That isn’t possible, mainly for the reason that video clips follow the same rules as audio clips in Live. You can use Video Simpler, which I assume you’ve already tried, but when using an excess amount of them (especially with multipel long duration and high resolution videos), it could make the system less stable due to lack of available RAM. In such cases I would suggest converting your clips to HAP, as clips encoded with HAP are read straight from the harddrive instead of from RAM. This codec is however only supported on macOS.
Putting clips in clip slots of audio tracks is the “easiest” option, as these clips will never be loaded in RAM, and it will spare you from adding a lot of Video Simplers to your set.
