Having thoughts/issues regarding redundant playback and LiveSync!
SETUP:
My setup is two macbook pro’s with identical ableton live show’s, and 1 macbook pro with same file (locators and showfile) but with keys and midi channels instead of playback/tracks. Everything is wired with ethernet through a netgear switch (static IP). Follower on master on keys mac, but both playback mac’s has leader on master.
ISSUE:
Tempo automation issue, activates and deavtivatea automation on multiple mac’s. And latency/unstable.
How would you apply LiveSync in a redundant show? Only one playback computer with leader? What happens if mac A fails? No more sync?
Anyone with some thoughts?
