Hi - thanks so much for making this available. I’ve got Trackgrabber on a channel with volume to control the opacity of resolume 3, (after removing the name Ableton in the GrabberSender), but am finding when moving the Ableton fader there’s a jumpy lag on the resolume fader its controlling. When i move the resolume fader however - it’s really smooth. I notice in the Trackgrabber window only the receive / yellow indicator lights up when moving the resolume fader but both blue / send and yellow / receive light up when moving the Ableton fader, which seems to be causing some kind of delay. Is this avoidable or something im misunderstanding?
Here is the screen recording of it - https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZQ3k95Z4K45IJMta05y94DLhfMsRS3V1Bby
thanks for any insight available
best

Hi Marc, welcome to the forum!
Thanks for including a screengrab of your issue.
Looking at the video, it seems like you have set the faders to both control each other. My guess is that when the fader in Resolume is controlled with OSC, it also sends out OSC. The reverse is not the case: Ableton Live with Trackgrabber doesn’t output OSC for a fader after receiving OSC for the same fader.
So I think what is happening, and judging by the OSC printed in the Resolume OSC monitor: when Resolume receives an update for the fader, it immediately sends an update back to Ableton Live, in turn setting the Ableton Live fader while you are still holding it with the mouse, interfering with your mouse action.
I would expect that if you remove the link from Resolume to Ableton, the fader in Resolume will be controlled smoothly from Ableton.
Hope that helps!
Thanks Mattijs. Yeah it looks like the only way is to turn off the Grabber Receiver and just send to resolume rather than two way.
