Is the graphics engine affected by the frame rate of the original clip?

Is it possible to use 60fps clips, even though the final frame rate at 30fps would be fine, without stressing out my computer too much? (I might want to do something at half time, and I’d like the option to use the same videos)

The render frame rate and clip frame rates are indeed fully independent. Having a 60 fps clip in case you want to play it at half speed sounds like a good plan!

The amount of resources video playback uses depends on how many frames you are actually displaying per second, not on the encoding frame rate.
