Hi
I´m new to B4M but think I got a fairly good grip of it. I know I can get parameter data for ALL fixtures using the get_profile_metadata in beam.core. However this is not very helpful when trying to make a generelized GUI where actual parameters will decide the looks of a dynamic interface. What am I missing?
Hi again
Let me rephrase my problem. Of course I can get the current patch data using “get patch” in beam.core. However the parameters (modulations like pan, tilt, strobe, colorwheel etc) are (it seems) available only through the fixture ID pointing to a dictionary that needs to be accessed and read in order to know
Sorry pressed wrong key…continue ….what modulators/parameters to control in beam.tag for the fixture. It would have been helpful to be able to query beam.tag directely for this. Using control-click only works in unlocked patcher mode and does not seem to give more than a basic set of modulations/parameters (dim, red, green, blue)
