Cool Feature on Showbuddy Active

Hello, I’ve just watched this video:

It strikes me that the effects generator section of Showbuddy active is a super useful feature, as is the very basic built in visualizer.

Watching the dude program some effects chases it struck me how long it would take to program some of these in Beam, if possible at all, as Pixel mapping a rig and using video or images to apply colour and intensity is not something Beam is currently built for. Wave and shutter effects across multiple fixture types, synced to specific stage locations etc.

I had always anticipated buying madmapper for this feature and to use it to control lasers.

So I guess this is a feature suggestion, to integrate type of this workflow into beam, and to create an effects generator device that can access all patched fixtures and allow you to save presets.

For example if I currently use a combination of LFOs and Scale plugins with programmed automations to create a specific chase, it is hard to save and apply these again. I need put the effects in a rack, ensure the automations are in a clip, and copy the clip and rack together to the new channel.

The granularity of control Beam offers is a strength, but being able to quickly apply and create complex effects is something that is missing.
