Advice sought - Videosync on Mac output to Madmapper on PC?

any advice or suggestions appreciated:

I’m using an M1 Macbook Pro, and wanting to output video ‘live’ from Videosync to a PC using Madmapper to output to multiple projector set-up.

Audio will output from the mac.

Spout is installed on the PC so I’m assuming I can send video stream(s) in to Madmapper from Syphon to Spout, but I’m not sure how..? NDI..?

Also - will there be latency/sync probs with the audio?

thanks

Hey Rob!

Have you considered using Networked Mode? You should be able to run Videosync on the PC, enable the Spout output(s) to receive them locally in MadMapper, and connect Videosync to Live on the Mac over the network.

Just for your information, there are a few limitations for Networked Mode.

yes! This should be the solution. I have not had a chance to try it, so it wasn’t in my mind.

Do I need to have a license on the PC?

You can use the same license on macOS and Windows. It will simply take up another activation slot, just like it would on macOS.

thanks Jean-Paul.

I will be doing this in a couple of weeks so I may drop a few more questions in here while I’m in process… It’s a good opportunity for me to learn these interface functions.
