Return tracks + aspect ratios

Hello! A couple of questions:

  • With a video+audio track, is it possible to apply send effects to apply to just the audio, without affecting the video with these (audio) effects? Unchecking “follow routings” doesn’t seem to do the trick.

  • Regarding scaling, it seems that both “stretch to fit” and “stretch to fill” stretch / widen the aspect ratio of my original SD (720 × 486) clips. Is there possibly a workaround for this?

Hey Evan,

  • Follow routings currently only applies to channel routings (Audio From/To). What you could do is place a Properties device on the Return channel and mute video.
  • Have you tried “Scale to fit”? :smiley: That one shouldn’t stretch the anything.
