I am becoming more addicted to B4L, but unfortunately all my fixtures (mainly china unknown stuff) are not shown in the stardard database. No problem, I have learned to create fixture proflies by myself with the web editor, and at the moment i have no problem with par devices.
Unfortunately when I tave tryed to work with a moving head i can use the colorspace section to manager colors, but i can’t find how to define other functions, to be then managed via Live Beam instruments, as pan tilt or other
Great to hear that you managed to get quite far with the web editor! Controlling the pan/tilt of moving heads should only be a small step from where you are: in the web editor these should be added to ‘modulations’.
The modulation name is how it’ll show up in Live. We usually use lowercase words like tilt, pan, stroberate. Merge modes set how ‘blending’ of the signal works, more info on it here: Mixing lighting data | Showsync Support. Fallback controls what happens when the signal disappears, for instance when you mute the instruments. none makes it go back to the default value, last keeps it at the value before muting. The last setting makes most sense for modulations like pan and tilt, because you generally don’t want the light to move all the way to it’s default position just because you muted a track.
It helps!!! actually i am out of the studio but tomorrow morning 1st todo is to test this!
I have read the links, may be there is somewhere a summary of all the keyword used to evaluate how to link? Thank you
We don’t have a list of all the keywords since it’s possible to use whatever keyword you like, so there’s not really a defined list except for our internal guide to use lowercase and no spaces/special characters.
But going through some of the bundled fixture profiles, some examples are: pan, tilt, stroberate, fanspeed, colorwheel, gobowheel, gobowheelrotation, gobowheel2, focus, prism, prismrotation.
tomorrow you can bet i will test, of course i will have to understand how to manage/control all the parameters but it i will need more infos i will write here
