I would like to be able to see the current FPS in the debug view. This will enable users to see the performance change while tweaking effect parameters, which is useful when optimizing a performance.
Furthermore, I feel like the maximum frame time metric should be complemented with the inverse, that is, minimum frame rate.

Currently, just enabling the debug info causes a significant FPS drop, so it is not a very good way to measure the effect on FPS that plugins have.
In fact, we are planning to move the debug info to a separate window, so that it never interferes with the video output. I added adding the current FPS and Max frame time to our todo list.
