I am using Videosync 2.0.8 and Live 12.2b9. With its bundled version of Max 9.0.5 I get lots of warnings for most of the Videosync devices I use in my set: extra arguments creating object (screenshot of part of the list attached).
When I change to Max 8.6.5 I don’t get these warnings.
Anyhow, as far as I can tell, everything still works fine with the bundled version. I haven’t tested it thoroughly, though.
This is a bug in Max, so the issue is in the hands of Cycling '74. That being said, I agree that if all works well, then you can probably just ignore it for now, or keep using Max 8. For Videosync it shouldn’t make a difference.
I’m happy to report that Cycling’74 fixed the bug with the latest Max beta (9.0.6)! It will just be a matter of time before it ends up bundled with Live 12.2, which I assume will happen before 12.2’s public release.
